Greenstep and Rundit bring the entire fund back office into one system
Private equity funds are one of the key industries we are passionate about at Greenstep. We have been developing solutions for private equity funds for several years and have earned a strong position in the Finnish market. Today, our clients can manage their entire fund back office in one system, with Rundit’s new fund management module.
Years of private equity expertise
Over the years, we have continuously invested in developing our team’s private equity expertise, and we are proud of the team we have built. In addition to accounting and financial management, our services cover a broad range of back-office functions, investor reporting, data collection from portfolio companies, and regulatory reporting.
Rundit brings ten years of fund software experience
At the beginning of this year, we took a significant step forward when Rundit became part of the Greenstep group. Rundit’s software automates fund data collection and investor reporting, and brings with it ten years of experience in software solutions for the fund industry.
From Excel to one system
We want to be a pioneer in the private equity industry and offer our clients a service that combines expert fund administration with modern software. That is why, throughout the year, we have been working with Rundit to automate our own back-office work. Our goal has been to move away from Excel-based calculations and consolidate all fund accounting in a single system.
That work is now complete. With Rundit’s fund management module, the entire fund back office runs in one place, from investor admission and capital calls to management fees, distributions and investor reporting. Our clients benefit from unified fund accounting, smoother processes and greater automation.
Ready for AI agents
Many fund teams already use AI assistants in their daily work. The challenge is that an assistant is only as useful as the data it can reach, and fund data is often spread across spreadsheets and email.
Rundit’s MCP server solves this by letting compatible AI agents connect directly to Rundit. MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard for connecting AI tools to business software. Once connected, an AI agent can use the fund and portfolio data in Rundit, and the functionality the platform provides, to support everyday tasks.
What’s next
The solution currently serves equity-based private equity funds, and in the near future it will expand to other sectors as well. We will continue combining our team’s expertise with the latest automation, so that our clients can focus on what matters most to them: growing their business.
