Year of developing global Greenstep - Sustainability Report 2023
Greenstep's 2023 Sustainability Report presents the key actions and achievements of our sustainability efforts over the past year. In this article, we provide a summary of the year's most notable milestones.
Economic sustainability and governance
- We provide our personnel with a steady job and develop our operations and practices in everyone's best interests.
- The result from our customer satisfaction survey was 3.4, which is a great grade. 89,5% of our customers were satisfied or very satisfied with our service.
- We began building an information security management system based on the ISO27001 standard. The implementation was completed in autumn 2023, and after an external audit, Greenstep achieved the ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certificate, which was granted by the audit partner Huld Certification Oy in early 2024.
- In 2023 we put a lot of effort in our technology development to respond to the increasing landscape of Greenstep and suit our employees’ and customers’ needs
Equal and healthy working community
- At the end of the year, the Greenstep team had 698 employees - the number of personnel increased by some 16% from the previous year.
- The increased personnel were also satisfied with their job: our most recently measured employee satisfaction (eNPS) was 69, which is an excellent result relative to the general level. In addition, the average weekly employee vibe score during the year was 4.1/5.
- Every Greenstep employee received a Together bonus, amounting to an even share of 10% of the company's operating profit, which totalled a million euro in 2023.
- The highlight of the year was our company wide crayfish party in Levi!
High-quality competence development
- Greenstep Academy held 371 training events for own personnel.
- In 2023, we participated in various collaboration projects, such as: Oulu Chamber of Commerce and University of Vaasa
Environmentally sustainable choices
- We seek to minimise our footprint by raising awareness within our organization about the different ways to reduce emissions to reinforce our commitment to environmental responsibility.
- The carbon footprint calculation for 2023 considered the emissions from the whole of Greenstep's activities for the second time, including all of its countries of operation.
- We expanded the calculation to include more data than before, for example office furniture and delivery services.
During 2024, we will continue our systematic sustainability work by preparing for the Corporate Sustainable Reporting Directive (CSRD). This directive requires companies to report on their sustainability performance. Read more about Greenstep's own sustainability work or our sustainability services.
