CapMan enhanced reporting and freed up hundreds of work hours with the support of Greenstep

Greenstep is CapMan's strategic partner in data development, focusing on automation of reporting, system migration, and artificial intelligence development. Over the past year, CapMan has successfully completed many projects with the support of Greenstep, and the collaboration continues to be fruitful. The partnership with Greenstep has increased opportunities for leveraging data and enhanced CapMan's efficiency.

Jarkko Pelli has served as CapMan's Chief Data Officer for five years. He is responsible for various development projects focused on digitalization, data, analytics, system and process development, and artificial intelligence.

The collaboration with Greenstep began just over a year ago, aiming to streamline CapMan's own reporting methods and processes, starting from data collection to enhancing analytical capabilities and improving internal and external reporting. The initial goal of the collaboration was to increase the efficiency of external reporting and data collection. Due to limited resources and time management challenges, utilizing an external partner was the best option.

Pelli notes that report preparation previously consumed hundreds of hours each quarter. Now, the time required to prepare a report—which once took an entire workday—has been reduced to just a fraction of that time. This shift has freed up time for more productive activities.

The project has evolved into a continuous collaboration, which includes weekly communication and brainstorming sessions with Greenstep experts. Pelli describes the partnership as fruitful, with Greenstep's team taking responsibility for tasks, challenging old practices, and exchanging ideas on solutions together.

CapMan has also adopted Greenstep's AI-copilot across the entire company, which supports the company's artificial intelligence strategy. At CapMan, the copilot is used, for example, for rapid document translation.

The latest significant project completed together was the ERP migration, which involved transferring 15 years of company data to a new platform. This migration project to the new data model was completed on time and successfully.
