Clear sustainability priorities and actionable carbon data for CAP Group

CAP Group is the largest provider of driver education in the Nordics, offering both in-person training and software solutions in Finland and Germany. As a long-standing partner, Greenstep has been supporting CAP Group in advancing its sustainability reporting, particularly in preparation for the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).
Double Materiality as a strategic tool
Greenstep guided CAP Group through a Double Materiality assessment, which became a cornerstone for setting clear sustainability priorities and aligning efforts with stakeholder expectations.
“The assessment helped us identify the most important issues for both our business and stakeholders, giving us direction and clarity,” says Jere Kääriäinen, Sustainability Manager at CAP Group.
This work led to a concrete sustainability roadmap that supports both regulatory compliance and long-term strategic goals.
Meeting expectations and enabling growth
With growing demands from investors and partners, CAP Group needed measurable sustainability actions. Greenstep’s structured approach enabled CAP Group to:
- Align with investor expectations
- Build trust with sustainability-conscious customers
- Strengthen strategic partnerships
- Support growth in a competitive market
Transparent and data-driven carbon footprint
Greenstep also supported CAP Group in conducting a full carbon footprint assessment following the GHG Protocol. The process covered both direct and indirect emissions and revealed key areas for reduction.
“This work has been crucial for setting ambitious yet achievable emission targets,” Jere adds.
To support ongoing monitoring and communication, Greenstep visualized the results in BI Book, allowing CAP Group to track progress and make informed decisions based on real-time sustainability data.
“We highly recommend Greenstep for their professionalism, deep expertise, and commitment to sustainability. Their work has had a significant positive impact on our organization, and we look forward to continuing the collaboration,” concludes Kääriäinen.
